About me🙍♂️
Aloha, I'm Richie! 👋
I am a Filipino-Chinese American freelance web and graphic designer specializing in user experience and interface design, branding, and responsive design, based in Waipahu, Hawaii, United States.
I graduated from UH West Oahu (UHWO) with a major in Creative Media and a Design and Media concentration in Spring 2025. My passion for web design began in sixth grade, when I created a joke website, and grew further when I built a first-place-winning National History Day website in seventh grade. I love creating; it’s embedded in my soul, and I cannot live without it. I currently work as a Judicial Clerk with the Hawaii State Judiciary at the Honolulu District Courthouse during the day, but I pursue creative endeavors on the side. I hope to make my passion for web and graphic design my day job someday.
If you’re curious, I love to read and translate manga (scanlation) 📖, listen to alternative music 🎶 (Cage the Elephant 🐘 is my fave band! Stream Melophobia!), and take long walks while having meaningful conversations 🚶♂️in my free time.
Fun Facts: I can type up to 120 words per minute (WPM) ⌨️, my scanlation group is called Piku Scans ✒️, and I am a parent to two spoiled cats: Lorax Junior (LJ), an orange kitten, and Aries, a gray cat 🐈!
